Ingredients
- 8 oz. finely chopped bittersweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup brewed espresso
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. dark rum
- 6 cups crustless, 1" bread cubes
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream (or CoolWhip)
- 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
Preparation
Step 1
Melt chocolate. In a heatproof bowl, mix espresso with sugar and rum; whisk in chocolate. Add bread cubes and let stand for 5 minutes.
Spoon half of the soaked bread and excess chocolate into 6 parfait glasses. Top with half the whipped cream and 1/2 toasted almonds. Repeat the layering.
