Cornstarch Custard

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 T. butter
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together first 4 ingredients in a saucepan. Stir in milk gradually. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture boils. Boil 1 minute. Blend in butter and vanilla. Chill and serve in sherbet glasses.
