Vegetarian Vegetable Tempura Recipe

yummy tempura recipe. great for frying up leftover vegan sushi.

Ingredients
- 1 cup organic rice flour
- 1/2 tsp pink Himalayan salt
- 1/2 tsp raw sugar
- 1 tsp non aluminum baking powder
- 1 cup ice water
- 3 tbsp grapeseed oil
- oil for frying
- leftover sushi or corn or pickles or broccoli or whatever!
Preparation
Step 1
Combine the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Slowly add the oil and ice water until smooth and creamy. no need to chill if you used ice water. if you forgot, chill for 15 minutes.
Heat half inch of grapeseed oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium high heat. Dip the vegetables in the batter, then gently slide in the oil. (I use a spoon.) Allow to cook until crisp and lightly golden brown, flip. Drain on paper towels.
