Middle eastern Hummus

this recipe is super quick and makes a great addition to a lunchbox along with sesame crackers, taco chips or toasted bread

  • one

    15-ounce can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

  • 1

    tablespoon sesame oil

  • 2-3

    tablespoons olive oil

  • ¼

    cup fresh lemon juice

  • 3

    cloves garlic, peeled

  • 1

    teaspoon ground cumin

  • ½

    teaspoon salt

  • ¼

    teaspoon black pepper


1. combine all the ingredients in a food processor or blender, process until smooth. If the mixture is too thick add a little water to dilute to preferred consistency. Serve at room temp. Store in airtight container in the fridge up to 1 week.
