Ingredients
- FILLING:
- 1 c. water
- 3 1/2 c. bread flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp yeast
- 1/2 C. butter, softened
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon or to taste
- 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
- TOPPING:
- 3/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. light brown sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Place dough ingred. in bread pan as listed with your bread machine. Use Dough setting. When dough is ready, place on lightly floured surface: punch down and lert stand for 30 min. or until doubled in size.Roll into 12 x 16 inch rectangle. Spread with 1//2 c. butter. Mix together cinnamon, sugar and nuts: sprinkle over buttered dough. Roll us tightly, jelly-roll style, starting at the 12-inch side. Cut roll into 12 1 inch slices.
Topping: combine topping ingred. in a l quart sauce pan; stir until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 3 min without stirring; remove from heat and coll for 5 min. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Place roll slices on top of mixture. Set oven to 200 degrees--turn off after 3 min. Place rolls in oven for abour 30 min or until about double in size. Bake in 350 degree oven 25 to 30 min. Let cool 1 min. Turn onto heatproof serving platter.
