Steamed Prawns with Garlic sauce

  • 8 prawns (26/30)
  • 1 oz garlic mashed
  • 1 oz scallion chopped
  • Seasoning:
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon “HON-DASHI”
  • 1 pinch white pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cut prawns from the back into butterfly shape. Arrange the prawns on plate, sprinkle salt, garlic, and rice wine.
2. Steam the prawns over high heat for 5 minutes.
3. Remove the prawns from steamer, sprinkle the scallion and pepper on top of prawns; heat 1 tablespoon oil, add the soy sauce, “HON-DASHI”, and water, bring to a boil, then pour over the prawns. Serve hot.
