Marshmallow Meringue*

This is very good on lemon or any other 9 inch pie.





























Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound marshmallows
  • 1 Tablespoon milk
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Heat marshmallows and milk together, folding over until marshmallows are half melted. Remove from heat and continue folding until mixture is smooth and fluffy. Beat egg whites, add sugar gradually and continue beating until stiff and smooth. Add salt and vanilla. Blend into marshmallow mixture and spread over pie. Bake in 450 degree oven about 1 minute or until light brown.
