Chrusciki (Angel Wings)

Ingredients

  • 4 egg yolds
  • 2 tsp confectioner's sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbls brandy
  • 1 tbls vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Beat egg yolks until thick. Add sugar and cream. Beat until well blended. Add remaining ingredients. Chill dough for easier handling.

Roll on lightly floured board - cut in 1 1/2" diamond shapes. Make a slit in the center of each diamond; slip one end thru the slash and pull gently to make a bow.

Fry in hot deep fat 375 degrees until just a very light brown. Drain; when cool dust with confectioner's sugar.
