Ingredients
- 6 oz uncooked fettucine
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups garden-style pasta sauce
- 1 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 tbsp minced fresh basil or 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp fennel seed
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1 cup (4 oz) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Cook fettucine according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, saute green pepper and onion in oil until tender. Stir in the pasta sauce, black beans and seasonings.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Drain fettucine. Top with sauce and sprinkle with cheese.
