Amish Christmas Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• Part 1 Ingredients:
• 1 Cup Sugar
• 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
• 1 Cup Butter
• 1 Cup Oil
• 2 eggs
• Part 2 Ingredients:
• 1 tsp. Vanilla
• 1 tsp. Salt
• 1 tsp. Cream of Tartar
• 1 tsp. Baking Soda
• 4 1/2 Cups Flour

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients from part 1 together. Mix well. Combine all ingredients from part 2 together, then chill at least 1 hour or overnight. Flour hands, then shape into balls and place on cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of chilled glass dipped in sugar. Sprinkle with colored sugar. Bake at 350 degrees until edges are golden.
