  • 4 cups 2% Milk
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1 cup golden raisins
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons butter,
  • WILD TURKEY SAUCE:
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Wild Turkey Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey

Preparation

%{color: red}Soak the raisins overnight in 1/4 cup bourbon%

Generously butter, bottom and sides of 9x13 baking dish.

* Soak the bread in milk in a large mixing bowl, stir until milk is absorbed.
* In another bowl beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and spices together.
* Stir into the bread mixture.
* Add the soaked raisins.
* Pour the bread mixture into the well butter baking dish.

* Melt the butter in a small saucepan.
* Add the egg, whisking well.
* Add the sugar.
* Whisk in bourbon to taste.
* Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
* Remove from heat.
* The sauce should be soft, creamy, and smooth.
* Whisk before serving.
