Ingredients
- 3 egg whites whipped
- 1/2 t almond
- 1/2 t vanilla
- 1/4 t cream of tartar
- 1 c sugar
- 12 saltines crushed
- Filling
- 4 yolks
- 1/2 c sugar3 T lemon juice
- 1 T zest
- 1/8 t salt
- 1 c whipped cream
Preparation
Step 1
Make meringue. Then add saltines. Butter pie tin. Bake 30 minutes @ 325.
Beat yolks lightly and stir in next 4 ingredients. Cook til thick on low heat. Stir constantly. Fold in whipped cream. Refridgerate.
