Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
- 1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- dash Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup
- 1/2 soup can water
- 1/2 soup can milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 green onion
- 1 teaspoon jarred minced garlic
- garlic powder
- 1 packet artificial sweetener
Preparation
Step 1
Thoroughly mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion powder, Worcestershire and egg in large bowl and shape mixture into small meatballs.
Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs and cook until they're well browned. Pour off any fat. Stir soup, water, milk, Worcestershire, green onion, garlic and artificial sweetener in medium bowl. Add soup mixture to skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook until the meatballs are cooked through and soup mixture thickens.
Flavor Variation:
If desired, stir in sliced fresh mushrooms with the soup mixture.
YUM! I put in extra seasonings because my family prefers everything kind of spicy/seasoned. I added 1/2 teaspoon creole seasoning and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper to the sauce as it was simmering. It was a big hit and will definitely fix this again.
I added fresh chopped parsley to both the meatballs and sauce.
