Ingredients
- 1/2 gallon milk
- 1 cup rice
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Combine first 3 ingredients in a double boiler. Heat milk on medium heat. When milk gets hot, scoop a cup of hot milk, set aside and mix with the egg.
Lower heat and continue to stir with a wooden spoon in circular motions for 1 hour and 15 min or until rice absorbed the milk and the spoon stands straight up in the middle.
Remove form heat. Stir in the milk and egg that was set aside. Add vanilla. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
