Ingredients
- 10 1/2 ounces Frito corn chips (Frito Lay)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup(Karo)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter ( Skippy)
- 1 cup Milk chocolate chips (Hershey or Nestle)
Preparation
Step 1
In a greased 10x15 pan, place corn chips.
In a sauce pan, bring the sugar and corn syrup to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
Pour over the Fritos and smooth it out level. I mixed them together to get them all covered. I used choc. chips and melted them in the microwave and drizzled
them over the chips. Allow to cool and cut into bars.
I think I am going to use butterscotch(HyVee) and choc chips next time for
the top so it's more like my scotcharoo's.
They are great. It's the scotcharoo recipe only you use Frito's to make a
sweet and salty bar. Frito's are gluten free.
