Cabbage Roll Casserole II

Ingredients

  • 1 qt jar sauerkraut
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • Pepper and garlic powder to taste
  • 1 cup stewed tomatoes

Preparation

Step 1

Put half of sauerkraut into bottom of casserole. Cook rice. Mix rice, ground beef, pepper and garlic powder. Spread over sauerkraut. Top with rest of sauerkraut. Pour tomatoes over all. Cover. Bake at 350F for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

NOTE: When tomatoes are in season, I cover the top with tomato slices in addition to the stewed tomatoes.
