Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened to RT
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (@ RT)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 6 oz. (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation
Step 1
Lightly grease 2 baking sheets or use non-stick cookie sheets. Place butter & both sugars in large bowl. Set electric mixer on high and cream mixture until smooth and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat until smooth. Whisk together, flour, soda, and salt in small bowl. Reduced mixer to medium and beat flour mixture into butter mixture until just blended. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop 1 1/2 tbsp. of dough onto baking sheets 2 in. apart.
Bake @ 375 degrees until cookies are browned around edges, 9 to 11 min. Set on wire racks to cool.
