Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 tsp salt, divided
- 1 package (6 ounces) butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 package (6 ounces) milk chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 F. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/4 tsp salt. Press mixture into a 13-by-9-by-2-inch pan. Bake 10 minutes or until golden.
While crust is baking, melt butterscotch chips, corn syrup, 2 tbsp butter, water, and 1/4 tsp salt in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in pecans. While crust is still warm, spread mixture over top of crust. Allow to cool completely.
Melt chocolate chips and spread over butterscotch layer. Chill 10 minutes or until chocolate is set.
