Ingredients

  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup currants

Preparation

Step 1

Sift powder, flour sugar. Add butter to oatmeal consistently. Add milk and currants and just blend into ball. Roll out to 3/4 inch and cut into 2 1/2 rounds. Egg wash and let rest for 15 minutes on cookie sheet covered in parchment. Preheat oven to 400 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Light brown tops with white sides. Serve with clotted cream and jam.
