Coconut Bon Bons

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs 10X sugar - divided
  • 1 14 oz can condensed milk
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c coconut
  • 1 c finely chopped walnuts or pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Sift 1 lb of 10x sugar in large bowl. Place condensed milk and butte rin saucepan, heat ove rlow flame until butte rmelts, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour hot butter mixture over 10x sugar, beat with mixer until blended and creamy. Stir in coconut and pecans with wooden spoon. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Shape coconut into 1" balls. Refrigerate until firm.
