Braised Spring Greens

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 large garlic cloves, chopped
  • 500 g fresh spring greens, cleaned, trimmed & chopped
  • 250 ml chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp vinegar - balsamic, cider... try different
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • salt & chilli flakes to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan until shimmery. Add the garlic and cook for a minute. Add the greens, stirring to coat and add the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook until tender about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasonings.
