Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cups water
- 2/3 cup oil
- 2 Tablespoon white vinegar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- vanilla frosting
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt 1 teaspoon cinnamo30 minutesn, cloves and nutmeg. Combine the water, oil, vinegar and vanilla; add to dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Pour into a 13 inch pan coated with nonstick cooking spray.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on rack, stir the remaining cinnamon into the vanilla frosting. Spread over cake.
