Ingredients
- 3 cups diagonally-sliced fresh asparagus
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons dry white wine
- 2 garlic cloves slivered
- 2 tablespoons minced red onion
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
- 1 dash salt (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Blanch the asparagus for 3 minutes in a pot of boiling water and drain.
Heat the oil and wine in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion and saute for 4 minutes.
Toss the mixture with the asparagus. Sprinkle lemon juice, pepper, and salt to serve.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Serving size: 1/2 cup.
