Green Beans in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed.
  • 1 small sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Preparation

Step 1

Cook green beans in boiling watr to cover 5-10 minutes or to desired degree of doneness; drain and set aside
Saute onion and garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley, and serve immediately.
