Scotcheroos

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white Karo syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 6 cups Special K or Rice Krispies cereal
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces Butterscotch bits
  • (2/3 cup of each of above)

Preparation

Step 1

Bring sugar and syrup to a boil, but DO NOT boil

Remove from heat, add peanut butter and stir until peanut butter is melted

Pour mixture over either of cereals you choose. Stir well, then pat down into a 9 x 13 pan.

Melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch bits together. Pour over mixture and let cool
