Ben's BarBQue Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 Large Onion, ; chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Barbecue Sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's)
  • 6 Ounces Root Beer
  • 1 Can Navy Beans (15-ounce) ; rinsed and drained
  • 1 Can Pinto Beans (15-ounce) ; rinsed and drained
  • 1 Can Pork and Beans (15-ounce) ; undrained
  • 1/2 Pound Pulled Pork Bbq
  • 1/4 Cup Pork Drippings
  • 1/4 Cup Molasses
  • 2 Teaspoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Texasbbq Rub

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook bacon in a Dutch oven until crisp; drain and crumble.

2. Cook onion in bacon drippings to soften. Stir in bacon and all remaining ingredients. Spoon into a 2 -quart baking dish. Chill for 8 hours or overnight, if desired.

3. Bake bean mixture at 350 degrees for 1 hour, stirring once.
