Avocado-Lime Sauce

Try this rich, creamy sauce with grilled steak, chicken, pork or fish. It’s also great drizzled over tacos and burritos.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium avocado, Hass, cut in chunks
  • 1 cup(s) cilantro, fresh, leaves
  • 1/2 cup(s) English cucumber(s), peeled, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup(s) uncooked scallion(s), coarsely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 1 tsp olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp table salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, or to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender; process until smooth, adding a little more water if a thinner sauce is desired. Yields about 2 tablespoons per serving.
