Ingredients
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 2 cups quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Step 1
Mix brown sugar through salt in a large bowl. Add butter, egg and vanilla Mix well, using your hands. Shape into walnut-sized balls, place on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on wire racks. makes about 3 dozen cookes.
