Golden Seared Salmon (basic recipe)
Salmon dishes - to tell if salmon is done, gently pry apart the fish at its thickest point. Then there is still a tinge of translucency in the center, remove it from the heat. It will continue cooking a minute or two longer.
- 3 Tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillet, cut into 4 equal pieces
- 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
Combine the flour, salt and pepper on a plate and dredge the salmon in it.
Add the oil to the skillet and heat it over medium high.
Add the salmon to the skillet and cook until golden on the underside, about 5 t0 6 minutes.
Turn the salmon over and cook another 5-6 minutes, or as desired.
Remove the salmon from the skillet.
