Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. (6 c.) sliced strawberries
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt

- 1 angle food cake cut into 1/4" slices
- 1 quart fat free frozen yogurt vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Combine the first 4 ingredients in saucepan and heat until sugar is melted, then simmer 15 minutes. Mash the berries. Cool this sauce at room temperature, then cover and refrigerate.
Spoon the frozen yogurt into a large bowl and mash with a wooden spoon until soft and spreadable.
Line the bottom of a spring form pan with 1/3 of the cake slices, so the bottom is covered.
Top with 1/2 yogurt and spread the yogurt right to the sides. Spread 2/3 c. sauce over yogurt. Top with 1/2 of the remaining cake slices. Spread remainder of the yogurt and top with 2/3 c. sauce and then seal with the remaining cake slices.
Cover with Saran and freeze for 6 hours to 3 days.
Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before unmolding.
