Ingredients
- 3/4 pound skinless ground chicken or turkey
- 3/4 pound extra-lean ground beef
- 1/3 cup unseasoned, dry bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup minced green onions
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp grown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp grated ginger root
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 6 hamburger rolls

Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine chicken, beef bread crumbs, onions and egg white.
Mix well (using your hands works best)
In a small bowl, combine ketchup, soy sauce, grown sugar, ginger root, garlic and sesame oil.
Add 3 tbsp of this mixture to ground meat, and mix well. Reserve remaining sauce to brush on burgers while grilling.
Shape meat mixture into 6 patties.
Cook burgers on a medium-hot BBQ for about 5 minutes per side, or until desired "doneness" is reached. Baste with reserved sauce.
Serve on hamburger rolls with your favourite toppings.
