How to Keep Lettuce Fresh in the Refrigerator

Dear Heloise: Lettuce tends to get mushy quickly, but I have a solution: paper towels. In a container with a lid, fold a paper towel and place it in the container. Then place your lettuce on top, put on the lid and place it in the fridge. Keeps it just as fresh as the day I put it in the container.
