Ingredients

  • ½

    cup butter

  • ¼

    cup brown sugar

  • 1

    egg yolk

  • 1

    cup all purpose flour

  • 1

    egg white

  • 1

    cup finely chopped nut

Directions

Cream butter and brown sugar and egg yolk. Add flour and blend thoroughly. Roll dough into balls the size of small walnuts. Dip each in egg white and roll in nuts. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press a thumb in the top of each cookie to make a depression. Bake at 374 for 10-12 minutes May have to press in centre again immediately after taking from over A dab of re jelly to be added in depression at serving time.
