Ingredients
- 1/4 OZ. unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup hot water
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp grated lemon rind
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 egg whites
Preparation
Step 1
Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in small saucepan. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Add hot water and sugar. Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
Stir in lemon rind, juice and salt. Chill until syrupy, then beat until frothy.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into gelatin mixture. Turn into mold or serving bowl. Chill
