Easy and effective way to roast peppers in the oven

Ingredients

  • Good method for alot of peppers
  • olive oil
  • jelly roll pan covered in foil

Preparation

Step 1

Split peppers
carve out stems
remove membranes and seeds
cut peppers where they lay flat and lay them out on foil covered pan and
spritz with olive oil
Put the pan as close as possible to broiler and cook for 10 min- start
checking at 5 min- Cook until blistered black
Fold foil up around peppers or put in a paper bag- let rest 5-10 minutes.
Peel off skins with your fingers- it is easier to do when warm.
If saving, freeze if using soon, put in freezer bag and refrigerate.
