HEARTY WINTER BREAD

Ingredients

• 7/8 cups water
• 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
• 1 large egg
• 1/4 cup molasses
• 1/4 cup cornmeal
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 3/4 cups white bread flour
• 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
• 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Preparation

Step 1

Place ingredients in order given by manufacturer of your bread machine. Select Sweet or Basic setting and desired Crust Color setting; press start. Makes one (2 pound) loaf.
