Ingredients
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. each ground cumin, oregano
- 3 c. tomato juice
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1 # ground beef
- 1/2 c. raw rice
- 1/2 c. each finely chopped onion, green pepper, celery
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper

Step 1
Combine chili powder, garlic salt, sugar, cumin, oregano and tomato juice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 min. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients, mix well, form into 18 meat balls. Place in baking dish. Pour sauce over balls, cover and bake at 375o for 45 min. Remove cover and bake 10-15 min. longer.
