Lemon Bread

Ingredients

  • Glaze:
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 milk
  • 1/2 vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon peel
  • 4 1/2 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • Powder sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix dry ingredients, set aside. Mix eggs, milk, and lemon peel, mixing well. Combine liquid with dry ingredients. Pour in bread pan(s). Bake for approximately 35 minutes.

While bread is baking, put lemon juice and wwhite sugar in sauce pan bringing to a boil for 1 minute or until sugar dissolves. Set aside.

When bread is done, remove from oven but eave in pans and poke holes in bread then pour glaze over bread. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
