Ingredients
- 1 package smoked sausage, cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped red pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup frozen peas(thawed and drained)
- 16 ounces processed cheese sauce
- 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly butter a 9 inch square baking dish or a 2 quart casserole dish.
Cook onion and red pepper in oil until tender. Combine rice, onion, red pepper, peas and cheese sauce. Spoon mixture into the baking dish. Season to taste.
Evenly place sausage pieces into the mixture and top with shredded cheese.
Bake 20-30 minutes or until bubbly and browned on top.
