Grandma Lucille Briggs Sour Dough Pancakes

Ingredients

  • Rolls:
  • Container of Sour Dough Start.
  • 2 Cups warm water
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 rounded teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup leftover pancake batter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Pour contents of sour dough start into a large bowl. Add the warm water, and flour. Beat until smooth. Add same amount back into bottle. Add sugar and mix. Cover bowl and bottle with wax paper, and leave out overnight.

In the morning, add the eggs, salt and baking soda. Stir & stand back!

Rolls:
Mix three ingredients and knead in mixer. Raise 1 hour or until double in size. Make rolls, dip in melted butter. Let raise again.

Bake at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes.
