Ingredients

  • 1 c long grain brown rice
  • 1 10 3/4 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 4 oz can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 2 c chicken broth or water
  • 3 large whole chicken breasts, skinned, halved lengthwise and boned
  • paprika

Preparation

Step 1

Place rice in a 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan. Combine mushroom soup, mushrooms and onion soup mix; stir in chicken broth or water. Pour mixture over rice. Arrange chicken breasts atop. Sprinkle lightly with paprika. cover with a piece of aluminum foil.
Bake in a 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours or till chicken and rice are tender. Serve with a green vegetable.
