Desserts: Frosted Chocolate Brownie Supreme

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Brownies
  • 1/2 plus 3 T butter
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 8 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup nonfat sour cream alternative
  • 1/3 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 2 t vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • Creamy chocolate frosting
  • Creamy Chocolate Frosting
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/4 t skim milk
  • 1 1/2 t vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Beat margarine at medium speed of an electric mixer until fluffy
Gradually add sugar and beat well
Add egg whites, sour cream, milk and vanilla
Beat well
Combine flour and next 3 ingredients
Stir well
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture, mixing well
Pour batter into a 9X13 " baking pan coated with cooking spray
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean
Cool in a pan on a wire rack
Spread Creamy Chocolate Frosting over cooled brownies
Cut into squares

Creamy Chocolate Frosting
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring until frosting is of spreading consistency
