Ingredients
- 1 pkg (1 1/2 Tb) dry yeast in
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 lb butter (1 stick)
- 3 1/2 cups AP flour (can add up to 1/2 cup more if needed.)
- 1 tsp coarse salt
- 3 lg eggs lightly beaten
Preparation
Step 1
Add sugar to yeast & warm water. In saucepan let simmer milk & butter. Add yeast to eggs & let sit. Heavily butter a Pullman
An pan or two.. Add butter & milk to flour. Add yeast/egg mix. Mix dough w/ wooden spoon. The dough is wet. Once mixed, scrape into mound, cover & let rise covered w/ plastic wrap for 2 hours. Put dough into Pullman pan(s). Spread w/ buttered hands (will not fill pan). Cover w/ plastic wrap & let rise 2 hours. Remove plastic & bake at 375 degrees for 45 min.
