Molasses Cookies

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup molasses
• 1 egg
• pinch salt
• 2 cups flour
• 2 teasponns baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Preparation

Step 1

Beat first 5 ingredients.
Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture and blend.
Form into balls on place on cookie sheet. Press with a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes.
