Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

This original recipe came from a dear friend from years ago, Pam Pepperoni. I give the original recipe but I have altered it with the addition of a layer of cooked rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz pkgs Stove Top Stuffing
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups water
  • Combine ingredients above and put all but 1/3 into a 9 x 13 pan.
  • 2 cans Cream of Celery Soup
  • 3 cups chicken, cooked and cubed
  • 1 cup milk
  • Pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Combine rest of ingredients and pour over first mixture then crumble remaining mixture over the top.
Bake at 350* for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.

I have altered this as follows:
10-12 oz stuffing
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups water
1 can Cream of celery
2 cups chicken
I add a layer of cooked brown rice on top of the stuffing.
