Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup dark molasses
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 cup flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix in a large bowl, butter, molasses, sugar, cloves, cinnamon, soda and ginger. Beat until fluffy. Then add the egg, mix well. Then add the flour and mix well. Shape into golf ball size balls, roll in sugar. Bake about 8 minutes at 350* or until barely brown. Let cool 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack.
