Ingredients
- 1 pound of boneless round steak - cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- or
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 large onion chopped
- 2 medium celery stalks cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 20 oz can of diced tomatoes
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 3 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 medium bell pepper cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 can 19 oz red kidney beans rinsed and drained
- Shredded cheddar cheese if desired
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all ingredients except bell pepper, beans and cheese in 3 1/2 - 4 quart slow cooker.
Cook on low for 6-7 hours.
Stir in bell pepper and beans.
Uncover and cook on high for 15 minutes.
Serve with cheese
