Ingredients
- 2 Tbls unsalted butter
- 1 yellow onion, diced medium
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup white rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
Preparation
Step 1
In a med saucepan, melt butter over med heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 8 mins. Season with salt and pepper. Add rice and cook, stirring occasionally, 3 mins. Add water and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat, simmer until liquid is absorbed, 10 mins. Stir in raisins, cover and let stand 3 mins before serving.
