Egg Nog Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ground walnuts
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 pkg. vanilla pudding
  • 1 Tbsp. gelatin
  • 1/8 teasp. salt
  • 1/4 teasp. nutmeg
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 cups mild
  • 3-4 Tbsp. sherry
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream- whipped

Preparation

Step 1

Combine nuts, sugar and melted butter. Press evenly in 9" pie pan. Bake in hot oven 10-15 mins. and cool.....375 degrees

Combine pudding mix, salt, nutmeg, gelatin in sauce pan. Mix egg yolks and milk together. Add to pudding mix and cook until thickened and comes to a boil. Remove and add sherry.

Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff. Fod hot pudding carefully into egg whites. Chill until slightly thickened
Fold in whipped crfeam and pour into pie shell.
