Cinnamon Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Tsp vanilla
  • 1 Egg, separated
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 Cups flour
  • 2 Tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350
Grease 10x15 inch jelly roll pan
Cream butter with sugar in a large bowl
Add vanilla, mix in egg yolk and salt
Combine flour and cinnamon and stir into butter mixture
Pat evenly into prepared pan
Brush top with egg white to glaze
Bake until lightly browned, about 20 minutes
Cool Slightly, cut into bars
Store in an airtight container
